Director of Hockey Skill Instruction Resources

Please review our expanding library of drills and coaching techniques. Categories include Offensive, Defensive, Coaching, Conditioning, and Practice Plans. Many of these were posted or created by Coach Houck.

The core philosophy of the Sioux Falls Flyers is contained within the SFYHA Drill Book. The SFYHA Drill Book contains numerous drills to develop all areas of team play. Coach Houck has created this resource to be used by our coaches to develop our players with a common vision to assist their transition between playing levels and age groups.

We encourage our coaches to have game film sessions with their players in the provided conference room. You will need to reserve the room ahead of time with the IcePlex to make sure it is not in use. Contact Cherry.Hunter@sfflyers.com to reserve the Scheels Community Room or the Sanford Community Room.
